Cheesy Baked Ziti with Ground Beef and Zucchini

Comforting, cheesy, and veggie-packed — an easy family favorite that comes together in under an hour.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ziti pasta
  • 4 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded (divided)
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cups zucchini, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Stir in the diced zucchini and cook until tender.
  6. In a large bowl, combine the cooked ziti, meat mixture, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese. Mix well.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
