Chicken Pillows With Creamy Parmesan Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips or bite-size pieces
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (8 oz) tube crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture onto each crescent roll triangle, add a piece of chicken, and roll it up.
  4. Place the rolled chicken pillows in a greased baking dish.
  5. In a saucepan, melt butter and stir in heavy cream, bringing it to a simmer.
  6. Pour the creamy sauce over the chicken pillows.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider adding a slice of mozzarella inside each pillow. Can be prepared ahead of time and baked when ready.
