Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

A quick and easy banana bread recipe with rich banana flavor and chocolate chips, perfect for breakfast or snacks.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
  4. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
  5. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in.
  6. Add the flour and stir until just incorporated. Do not overmix. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let it cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for the best sweetness and moisture. Do not overmix after adding flour to keep the crumb tender.
