Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, chives, lemon juice, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until everything is well combined and the texture is creamy and uniform. Taste and adjust salt, pepper, or lemon as needed.
- Transfer the butter mixture to a sheet of parchment paper. Roll it into a tight log and twist the ends to seal. Refrigerate until firm, about 60 minutes.
- Slice into rounds to top hot steak, chicken, or fish, or serve whole as a spread for bread.
- Store wrapped in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for longer storage.
Notes
Use softened butter for the best texture and emulsification. Fresh herbs brighten the flavor, and smoked paprika adds depth.
