Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 slices of ham
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup honey mustard sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil or butter for frying
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) if baking. Pat chicken dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Dredge each breast in flour, shaking off excess. Dip in beaten eggs, then press into bread crumbs to coat evenly.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat until shimmering. Cook chicken 5–7 minutes per side until golden brown.
- If baking, place fried chicken on a baking sheet, top each piece with ham and Swiss, and bake 15–20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Drizzle honey mustard sauce over the top before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
For an ultra-crisp finish, try air-frying the chicken. Pound to an even thickness and season the flour and bread crumbs for added flavor.
