Crispy Malibu Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 slices of ham
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup honey mustard sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil or butter for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) if baking. Pat chicken dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Dredge each breast in flour, shaking off excess. Dip in beaten eggs, then press into bread crumbs to coat evenly.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat until shimmering. Cook chicken 5–7 minutes per side until golden brown.
  4. If baking, place fried chicken on a baking sheet, top each piece with ham and Swiss, and bake 15–20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. Drizzle honey mustard sauce over the top before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

For an ultra-crisp finish, try air-frying the chicken. Pound to an even thickness and season the flour and bread crumbs for added flavor.
