  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4-6 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
  • Flour (for dusting workspace)
  • 1 cup apricot preserves
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into 4–6 even squares.
  3. Place a spoonful of apricot preserves in the center of each square.
  4. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to create an envelope shape and press the edges to seal.
  5. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Keep pastry cold until ready to bake for maximum flakiness. Use a generous spoonful of preserves but avoid overfilling to prevent leaks.
