Grilled Asparagus in Foil with Parmesan

Ingredients

  • 1 lb asparagus, trimmed
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (about 1 tsp)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Aluminum foil for packets

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 400–425°F).
  2. Trim the woody ends and lay asparagus in a single layer on a sheet of aluminum foil.
  3. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle minced garlic, salt, and pepper, then toss gently to coat.
  4. Sprinkle grated Parmesan evenly over the asparagus and fold the foil into a sealed packet.
  5. Place the foil packet on the grill and cook for 10–15 minutes, until asparagus is tender-crisp.
  6. Carefully remove the packet, open away from your face, and serve warm right from the foil.

Notes

Choose medium-thickness asparagus for the best texture; very thin stalks may overcook. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
