Ingredients

  • 1 pound sirloin steak (cut into 1-inch cubes)
  • 1 pound large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for marinating steak and shrimp)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the sirloin steak with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, salt, and pepper, then set aside.
  3. Melt the unsalted butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1–2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in parsley, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Thread the marinated steak and shrimp onto skewers, alternating between the two. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 400–450°F). Grill the skewers for about 3–4 minutes on each side, until the steak reaches desired doneness and the shrimp are pink and opaque.
  6. Remove from the grill and drizzle garlic butter sauce over the skewers before serving.

Notes

Use room-temperature meat and shrimp before grilling for even cooking. Watch shrimp closely to prevent overcooking.
