Homemade Apricot Fruit Leather

A simple, sun-kissed snack made with dried apricots, perfect for lunchboxes or hiking.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups dried apricots
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Sweetener (honey or sugar) to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 170°F (75°C) or the lowest setting.
  2. Blend the dried apricots, water, and lemon juice until smooth.
  3. Taste the mixture and add sweetener if desired, blending again to combine.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Pour the fruit mixture onto the sheet and spread it out evenly.
  5. Place the baking sheet in the oven and let it dry for about 360–480 minutes, or until the fruit leather is no longer sticky.
  6. Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool completely.
  7. Cut into strips and roll them up, storing them in an airtight container.

Notes

Spread the mixture evenly for uniform drying. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
