Jello Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter (softened)
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 large Egg
  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 34 flavors Jello Gelatin Powder
  • 1/4 cup Additional Sugar for Rolling
  • Sprinkles (for topping)
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg until fully combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until well blended.
  6. Fold in your chosen flavors of Jello powder until evenly dispersed.
  7. Scoop tablespoons of dough and roll into balls, then roll them in the additional sugar.
  8. Arrange the dough balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
  9. Add sprinkles on top if desired.
  10. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are golden. Let cool on a wire rack.

Notes

You can prepare the cookie dough in advance and refrigerate it for up to 3 days. Alternatively, freeze the unbaked dough for up to 3 months.
