- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 8 oz cheddar cheese, sliced
- 12 slider buns
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until fully cooked. Season with salt and pepper; drain any excess grease.
- In a bowl, mix together mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup.
- Cut the slider buns in half horizontally and arrange the bottom halves in a baking dish.
- Layer the cooked beef mixture evenly over the bottom buns, followed by slices of cheddar cheese.
- Spread the mayonnaise mixture on the top halves of the buns and place them on top of the cheese.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired.
- Cover with foil and bake for 15–20 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 5–10 minutes until golden brown and the cheese has melted.
- Pull apart and serve warm.
Notes
Make-ahead friendly: Prepare the beef mixture and sauce up to 3 days ahead, or assemble and freeze unbaked for up to 2 months.
