Spaghetti Garlic Bread Bowls

A fun, comforting twist on spaghetti and garlic bread, perfect for weeknights and family meals.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti pasta
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 small round garlic bread loaves
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chopped bell peppers or 2 cups fresh spinach (optional)
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
  • Extra grated Parmesan or shredded mozzarella for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté minced garlic and chosen veggies until soft.
  4. Combine cooked spaghetti and pasta sauce with the veggie mixture.
  5. Hollow out the centers of each garlic bread loaf.
  6. Fill each loaf with the spaghetti mixture and top with Parmesan cheese and herbs.
  7. Bake for 10-15 minutes until the bread is crispy and golden.
  8. Serve warm, garnished with extra cheese if desired.

Notes

Don’t overfill the bread. Salt the pasta water well. Precook veggies until just tender. For make-ahead convenience, assemble and refrigerate raw bowls, then bake right before serving.
