- 12 oz spaghetti pasta
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 small round garlic bread loaves
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chopped bell peppers or 2 cups fresh spinach (optional)
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
- Extra grated Parmesan or shredded mozzarella for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté minced garlic and chosen veggies until soft.
- Combine cooked spaghetti and pasta sauce with the veggie mixture.
- Hollow out the centers of each garlic bread loaf.
- Fill each loaf with the spaghetti mixture and top with Parmesan cheese and herbs.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes until the bread is crispy and golden.
- Serve warm, garnished with extra cheese if desired.
Notes
Don’t overfill the bread. Salt the pasta water well. Precook veggies until just tender. For make-ahead convenience, assemble and refrigerate raw bowls, then bake right before serving.
