- Filling:
- 2 cups cherries, pitted and halved
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Crust & Topping:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix the cherries with 1/2 cup of granulated sugar and set aside.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Mix in the softened butter until crumbly. Press half of the crumble mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Spread the cherry mixture over the crust, then sprinkle the remaining crumble mixture on top.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown. Allow to cool before cutting into bars and serving.
Notes
Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Try adding a sprinkle of flaky sea salt for enhanced flavor.
