Perfect Toasted Ravioli

Ingredients

  • 1 package of frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Cook the frozen cheese ravioli according to package instructions and let them cool.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, beat an egg until well mixed.
  4. Dip each ravioli into the beaten egg, then coat it with the breadcrumb mixture thoroughly.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat until ready for frying.
  6. Fry the coated ravioli until they are golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  7. Remove the ravioli from the pan and drain them on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  8. Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping, and enjoy!

Notes

Pat ravioli dry after boiling to help the coating stick. Use fine breadcrumbs for even coverage.
