Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground pork or ground chicken
- 2 cups finely chopped cabbage (about 1/4 head)
- 3–4 green onions, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Dumpling wrappers (store-bought or homemade)
- Water (for sealing and cooking)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground meat, cabbage, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until well incorporated.
- Take a dumpling wrapper and place a small amount of filling in the center.
- Wet the edges of the wrapper with a little water, fold it over, and pinch the edges to seal.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil and carefully add the dumplings. Cook until they float, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove the dumplings and enjoy them warm with your choice of dipping sauce.
Notes
Serve with soy sauce, vinegar, or chili oil. Keep a damp towel over unassembled dumplings to prevent drying out.
