- 4 chicken breasts
- 4 slices crispy bacon (cooked and chopped)
- 1/4 cup honey mustard sauce
- 1 cup melted cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack)
- 1 cup sautéed mushrooms
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy, then remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté the mushrooms until tender.
- Spread honey mustard sauce on each chicken breast and top with sautéed mushrooms, bacon, and melted cheese.
- Place the chicken in a baking dish and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temp 165°F/74°C).
- Serve hot and enjoy your Alice Springs Chicken!
Notes
Pound thicker chicken breasts slightly for even cooking, and consider broiling for extra browning at the end.
