Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg (if using).
- Spread the chopped asparagus evenly in the pie crust.
- Pour the egg mixture over the asparagus.
- Sprinkle the grated Gruyère cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the custard is set and the top is golden.
- Let cool slightly before slicing.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
