Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups Shredded cooked chicken (Use rotisserie chicken for convenience.)
- 2 cups Broccoli florets (Fresh or frozen works well.)
- 8 slices Cooked bacon, crumbled (Can substitute turkey bacon.)
- 1 cup Shredded cheese (cheddar or choice; variations can include mozzarella or Monterey Jack.)
- 1/2 cup Heavy cream (Use half-and-half for a lighter option.)
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder (Fresh minced garlic is also a good choice.)
- Salt and pepper (To taste, adjust according to preference.)
- 1 teaspoon Dried oregano or Italian seasoning (optional; adds extra flavor, if desired.)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine in a large mixing bowl the shredded chicken, broccoli, crumbled bacon, heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and dried oregano.
- Mix well and transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the cheese is golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Ensure your chicken is shredded evenly for consistent cooking. Consider using a combination of cheeses for a richer flavor. Cooking the casserole until the cheese is bubbling ensures the dish is fully heated through.
