Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large Fresh lemons (juiced)
- 1 cup Fresh blueberries (or frozen)
- 1 tablespoon Culinary lavender (food-grade)
- 1/2 cup Honey or alternative sweetener
- 4 cups Water (divided)
- Ice cubes (as needed)
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Combine 1/2 cup honey and 1/2 cup water with 1 tablespoon culinary lavender in a medium saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring until the honey dissolves. Let it simmer for 2 minutes, remove from heat, and steep for 10 minutes. Strain into a bowl or pitcher and let cool.
- Juice the lemons to obtain about 1 cup of fresh lemon juice, discarding seeds.
- Muddle the blueberries in a pitcher and gently crush them to release juice without pureeing.
- Add the lavender syrup, lemon juice, and 3 to 3.5 cups cold water to the muddled blueberries. Adjust sweetness or dilution as needed.
- Let it chill for at least 30 minutes to enhance flavors.
- Pour over ice cubes, garnish with mint leaves or lemon slices, and enjoy. For a sparkling twist, substitute cold water with sparkling water before serving.
Notes
Use freshly squeezed lemon juice for the best flavor. Adjust the sweetness according to your taste preference. Muddle blueberries gently to maintain texture.
