Cajun Aioli

Bright, creamy, and perfect for dunking, this Cajun aioli adds smoky heat and tang to meals.

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 1 cup 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup real mayo
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tsp hot sauce
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a medium bowl, and whisk until smooth.
  2. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed — add more lemon for brightness or more hot sauce for heat.
  3. If you like a thinner aioli, whisk in 1–2 tsp water or more lemon juice.
  4. Transfer the finished aioli to a glass jar or airtight container.
  5. Place in the fridge until ready to use, at least 30 minutes for flavors to marry.
  6. Or serve immediately with fries, grilled shrimp, or as a sandwich spread.

Notes

Chill for at least 30 minutes to meld flavors. Adjust heat based on preference.
