Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup real mayo
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 3 tsp hot sauce
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients in a medium bowl, and whisk until smooth.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed — add more lemon for brightness or more hot sauce for heat.
- If you like a thinner aioli, whisk in 1–2 tsp water or more lemon juice.
- Transfer the finished aioli to a glass jar or airtight container.
- Place in the fridge until ready to use, at least 30 minutes for flavors to marry.
- Or serve immediately with fries, grilled shrimp, or as a sandwich spread.
Notes
Chill for at least 30 minutes to meld flavors. Adjust heat based on preference.
