- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup Cocoa powder
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar
- 1/2 cup Melted butter
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 cup Chocolate chunks
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- Mix dry ingredients in a bowl, combining flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Whisk wet ingredients in another bowl, mixing together sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
- Combine ingredients by gradually adding the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chunks gently into the batter.
- Spoon batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
- Bake muffins for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool muffins in the tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Use room temperature ingredients for better mixing. Be careful not to over-mix the batter, as this can lead to dense muffins.
