Chocolate Chunk Muffins That Everyone Will Love

Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Melted butter
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl, combining flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Whisk wet ingredients in another bowl, mixing together sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
  4. Combine ingredients by gradually adding the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chunks gently into the batter.
  6. Spoon batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake muffins for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool muffins in the tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for better mixing. Be careful not to over-mix the batter, as this can lead to dense muffins.
