- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup Granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp Baking powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 cup Milk
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 Large egg
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar
- 2 tbsp Ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup Unsalted butter (for filling, melted)
- 1 cup Powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp Milk (for glaze)
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- Mix dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl: flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- Whisk wet ingredients in another bowl: milk, melted unsalted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Prepare filling by mixing brown sugar and melted butter in a separate bowl.
- Fill muffin tins halfway with batter, then add a spoonful of the filling mixture on top.
- Top with remaining batter to cover the filling completely.
- Bake muffins for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Prepare glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth.
- Drizzle glaze over cooled muffins before serving.
Notes
Use room temperature ingredients for better mixing and fluffiness. Do not overmix the batter as it can lead to dense muffins.
