Ingredients
Scale
- 5 cans (14.5 oz each, drained) Cut green beans
- 8 slices Bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
- 2/3 cup Brown sugar, light or dark
- 1/4 cup Butter, melted
- 1/4 cup Soy sauce, low-sodium preferred
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper, adjust to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp. Drain on paper towels, then crumble and set aside.
- Prepare the sauce by whisking together melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth.
- Assemble the dish by placing the drained green beans in the baking dish, pouring the sauce mixture evenly over the top, and tossing to coat. Sprinkle with the crumbled bacon.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbly and slightly thickened.
- Serve warm—these beans are sweet, savory, and irresistibly rich!
Notes
Be sure to drain the green beans well; excess moisture can thin out the sauce. For added flavor, consider including a tablespoon of Dijon mustard. Keep the bacon crispy by adding it just before serving.
