Ingredients
Scale
- 4 Chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on)
- 2 tablespoons Honey
- 2 tablespoons Mustard (Dijon or yellow)
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon Paprika (optional)
Instructions
- Whisk together honey, mustard, and olive oil until smooth and fully combined.
- Taste the mixture and adjust for balance, adding a pinch of salt or a dash more mustard as needed.
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels to remove surface moisture for maximum crisping.
- Season both sides of the thighs with salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder and paprika.
- Brush or spoon the honey mustard evenly over each thigh, ensuring full coverage on the skin side.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) to ensure immediate high heat for crisp skin.
- Arrange the thighs skin side down in the air fryer basket without overlapping for proper air circulation.
- Cook for 9-10 minutes, then flip each thigh to expose the skin side and continue cooking for another 9-10 minutes.
- Check internal temperature with an instant-read thermometer and confirm 165°F (74°C) for safe doneness.
- Remove thighs from the air fryer and let them rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes to redistribute juices.
- Spoon any remaining glaze over the thighs immediately before serving for extra shine and flavor.
Notes
For optimal crispiness, dry the skin thoroughly and do not overcrowd the air fryer basket.
