- 6 tablespoons (85 grams) Unsalted butter
- 3 large cloves Garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup (50 grams) Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

- Before draining, scoop out 1/2 cup of pasta water and set aside.
- Drain the pasta in a colander but don’t rinse.
- Melt the unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook until it turns golden brown, watching closely.
- Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds to 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss to coat.
- If needed, add reserved pasta water a tablespoon at a time until the sauce is silky.
- Season with salt and pepper, then toss in the parmesan until melted. Garnish with parsley if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
Watch the butter closely to avoid burning. Use fresh ingredients for better flavor. Adjust seasoning gradually.
