Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage until fully cooked.
- Remove the sausage and drain excess grease, leaving about 1 tablespoon in the pan.
- Add butter to the skillet and melt, then whisk in the flour to create a roux.
- Gradually pour in the milk, whisking until smooth.
- Stir in the cooked sausage and season with garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Cook until thickened, about 3-5 minutes, then serve hot.
Notes
Can be prepared ahead of time; refrigerate sausage for 2-3 days. Reheat gently.
