Homemade Air Fryer Potato Chips

Crispy, golden chips in minutes — all the crunch with less oil. A perfect healthier snack option.

  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold)
  • Cold water (for soaking)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional: garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, or your favorite seasoning blend
  • Optional toppings: fresh herbs, grated Parmesan, or a squeeze of lemon

Instructions

  1. Slice the potatoes thinly using a mandoline or sharp knife.
  2. Soak the potato slices in cold water for about 30 minutes to remove excess starch, then drain and pat dry.
  3. In a bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil and your preferred seasonings.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Place the potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  6. Cook for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the chips are golden and crispy.
  7. Let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Use a mandoline for uniformly thin slices for even cooking. Store cooled chips in an airtight container at room temperature for best results.
