Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold)
- Cold water (for soaking)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Optional: garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, or your favorite seasoning blend
- Optional toppings: fresh herbs, grated Parmesan, or a squeeze of lemon
Instructions
- Slice the potatoes thinly using a mandoline or sharp knife.
- Soak the potato slices in cold water for about 30 minutes to remove excess starch, then drain and pat dry.
- In a bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil and your preferred seasonings.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the chips are golden and crispy.
- Let them cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Use a mandoline for uniformly thin slices for even cooking. Store cooled chips in an airtight container at room temperature for best results.
