- 2 Large eggs
- 1/2 cup Kahlua coffee liqueur
- 1/2 cup Buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.
- Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
- Beat the softened butter in another bowl until creamy, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
- Stir in Kahlua, buttermilk, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients gradually, mixing until just combined.
- Fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full with batter and bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before frosting.
- Frost the cupcakes with chocolate frosting and enjoy.
