Kahlua Chocolate Cupcakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.
  2. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Beat the softened butter in another bowl until creamy, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  4. Stir in Kahlua, buttermilk, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients gradually, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full with batter and bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before frosting.
  8. Frost the cupcakes with chocolate frosting and enjoy.
