- 1 1/2 cups Graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, melted
- 4 Large egg yolks
- 1 can (14 ounces) Sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup Fresh key lime juice
- 1 tablespoon Key lime zest
- Whipped cream for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until resembling wet sand. Press into a 9-inch pie pan.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden.
- Whisk together egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, lime juice, and lime zest until smooth.
- Pour the filling into the baked crust and smooth the top.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes until the filling is set but jiggles slightly.
- Let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Serve chilled with whipped cream and lime zest on top.
Notes
Use fresh key limes for the best flavor; bottled lime juice can’t replicate the freshness. Allow the pie to cool completely before refrigerating for better texture.
