Maple Glazed Apple Blondies

Delightful dessert combining rich flavors of maple and apple in a chewy blondie that pleases any crowd.

  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter, melted (can substitute with coconut oil for a dairy-free version)
  • 1 cup Brown sugar (light or dark brown sugar works)
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar (can be substituted with coconut sugar)
  • 2 Large eggs (room temperature for best results)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract (pure vanilla extract enhances the flavor)
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour (all-purpose gluten-free flour can be used)
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder (make sure it’s fresh for the best rise)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda (gives extra lift to blondies)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt (balances sweetness, can reduce slightly if desired)
  • 1 cup Chopped apples (use your favorite variety; tart ones like Granny Smith work well)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon (for a stronger flavor, increase to 1 teaspoon)
  • 1/2 cup Maple syrup (pure maple syrup adds rich flavor)
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar (for glaze; can replace with powdered erythritol for a low-sugar option)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. Combine melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large bowl, mixing until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture, then stir until combined.
  4. Gradually mix in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon until just blended.
  5. Fold in the chopped apples, ensuring they are evenly dispersed throughout the batter.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Whisk together the maple syrup and powdered sugar until smooth for the glaze.
  9. Drizzle the glaze on top of the cooled blondies and cut into squares.
  10. Enjoy your delicious Maple Glazed Apple Blondies!

Notes

Make sure your butter is fully melted for easier mixing. Avoid overmixing the batter to keep the blondies tender. Let the blondies cool completely before adding the glaze.
