Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup tortellini (any flavor)
- 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half for lighter version)
- 1 cup chicken broth (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (or individual herbs)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Freshly grated Parmesan cheese (for topping)
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the chicken breasts in a large skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Remove from the skillet and set aside to rest before slicing.
- Simmer the chicken broth, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning in the same skillet and bring to a simmer.
- Add the tortellini and cook according to the package instructions until tender.
- Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Reintroduce the sliced chicken to the skillet, allowing it to heat through in the creamy sauce.
- Serve the dish, topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of fresh parsley for garnish.
Notes
Allow the chicken to rest before slicing for better tenderness. For added flavor, deglaze the skillet with white wine after removing the chicken.
