Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box Super Moist Cake Mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted Butter, melted
- 1 Large Egg
- 2 cups Mini Marshmallows
- 1 cup Chocolate chips
- 1 cup Powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons Cocoa powder
- 3 tablespoons Milk
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan thoroughly.
- Combine the cake mix, melted butter, and egg in a large bowl until the mixture is uniform and slightly thick.
- Spread the cake mixture evenly into the prepared pan using an offset spatula for a flat surface.
- Bake the pan for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly soft to the touch.
- Remove the pan from the oven immediately when set to prevent over-browning around the edges.
- Sprinkle the mini marshmallows evenly across the hot base immediately after removing from the oven.
- Scatter the chocolate chips over the marshmallows so they nestle into the top surface.
- Return the pan to the oven for an additional five minutes, or until the marshmallows appear puffed and glossy.
- Whisk the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl until smooth and pourable.
- Drizzle the icing over the warm bars using a spoon or small piping bag for even coverage.
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares to ensure clean slices.
