A quick and flavorful one-pot meal combining smoked sausage, pasta, and honey BBQ sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz Pasta (use your favorite type like penne or rotini)
  • 1 lb Smoked sausage (can substitute with turkey or chicken sausage)
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (choose a honey BBQ variety)
  • 1/4 cup Honey (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup Heavy cream (can replace with half-and-half)
  • 2 cups Chicken broth (low-sodium recommended)
  • 1 cup Cheese (shredded) (Parmesan or cheddar)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Chopped parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine the sliced sausage, pasta, chicken broth, BBQ sauce, and honey in a large pot.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Reduce the heat and simmer until the pasta is cooked and the sauce has thickened, about 10 minutes.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and cheese until well combined.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve garnished with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

For best results, cook the pasta al dente, and use good quality sausage for richer flavor.
