Sloppy Joe Biscuit Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef (can substitute turkey)
  • 1 small Onion, chopped (yellow or white onion)
  • 1 cup Ketchup (use your favorite brand)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (adds depth of flavor)
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1 can Refrigerated biscuits (can use homemade biscuits)
  • 1 cup Shredded cheese (Cheddar or your choice)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. Stir in ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  4. Spread the meat mixture evenly in a greased baking dish.
  5. Cut biscuits into quarters and place them on top of the meat mixture.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the biscuits.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Use non-stick spray to grease the baking dish and customize your seasonings for additional flavor.
