Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pounds Pork shoulder
  • 1 cup Pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup Soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Apple cider vinegar
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Grated ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the pork shoulder in the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, combine pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Pour the mixture over the pork.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 480 minutes or on high for 240 minutes, until the pork is tender.
  6. Shred the pork using two forks and stir it in the sauce before serving.

Notes

Always use a good quality pork shoulder for the best flavor and tenderness. Let the pork rest after shredding to absorb the sauce well.
