- 3 pounds Bone-in beef short ribs (flanken-style preferred)
- 1/2 cup Soy sauce
- 1/3 cup Brown sugar
- 6 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Freshly grated ginger
- 2 tablespoons Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
- 3 cups Cooked steamed jasmine or short-grain rice
Instructions
- Rinse and pat the beef short ribs dry. Trim off any thick excess fat and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, gochujang, sesame oil, and rice vinegar until smooth.
- Place the ribs in a slow cooker and pour the sauce over them, coating evenly.
- Cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours until the meat is tender.
- Rinse rice under cold water and cook according to the package instructions.
- Serve the ribs over rice, garnished with green onions or sesame seeds.
Notes
For best results, choose high-quality beef short ribs and avoid rushing the cooking time for optimal flavor and tenderness.
