Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound Fresh Strawberries, sliced (can substitute with frozen strawberries, thawed)
- 1 cup Whipped Cream (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 pound Cake or Angel Food Cake, cubed (can use sponge cake for a lighter texture)
- Sugar, to taste (optional, enhances sweetness; omit if strawberries are sweet)
- Mint Leaves, for garnish (optional, adds a fresh touch)
Instructions
- Mix the sliced strawberries with a little sugar if desired and let them sit for about 10 minutes to release their juices.
- Place cubed cake at the bottom of serving cups or shot glasses.
- Add a layer of strawberries on top of the cake.
- Dollop whipped cream generously on top of the strawberries.
- Continue adding layers of cake, strawberries, and whipped cream until the cups are filled, finishing with whipped cream.
- Garnish with a mint leaf if desired.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor and consider making your own whipped cream for a fresh taste. For a festive twist, flavor the whipped cream with vanilla or almond extract. Pre-chill the shot glasses for a refreshing presentation.
