- 12 Mini bagels
- 10 oz Smoked salmon, cold-smoked Nova lox preferred
- 8 oz Cream cheese, softened
- 1 Cucumber, thinly sliced
- ¼ Red onion, thinly sliced
- 3 tbsp Capers, drained
- 2 tbsp Everything But the Bagel seasoning
- 12 Lemon wedges, for serving
- 16 oz Cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 Avocado, sliced
- 6 Hard-boiled eggs, cooled and halved
- 12 Sweet baby gherkin pickles, for garnish
Instructions
- Boil the eggs: Place 6 eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water by 1 inch.
- Boil the eggs: Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then remove from heat, cover, and let sit for 10–12 minutes.
- Cool the eggs: Transfer to an ice bath and let cool completely before peeling and halving.
- Prep the vegetables: Thinly slice the cucumber into rounds.
- Slice the red onion as thin as possible.
- Prepare the avocado just before serving.
- Arrange the board with bowls of cream cheese and smoked salmon, filling spaces with other ingredients.
- Sprinkle Everything But the Bagel seasoning over the cream cheese and salmon.
- Warm the bagels: Slice and warm them in a 350°F oven for 5 minutes.
- Serve by arranging bagels in a basket or on the board with small spreading knives.
Notes
Use softened cream cheese for easy spreading. Choose high-quality smoked salmon for the best flavor. Add vegetables just before serving to maintain their crunch.
